MortalGuidance is a user-powered, cooperative advice network that allows real people to
connect to give and receive live advice from each other 24 hours a day, whenever they need it.
The idea is simple: Steve gives advice to you, you give advice to Sally, Sally gives advice to Peter, and so on and so on...
There are no experts or trained professionals here, just real people like you, cooperating to help each other. And in return,
building a valuable resource that they can turn to anytime they want.
You may receive good advice that is really helpful, bad advice that is not, or somewhere in between.
There are no promises, only potential. But, you can always ask for more advice and you will
find that the overwhelming majority of MortalGuidance users sincerely enjoy trying to help.
The primary principle of MortalGuidance is that everyone has the ability to help someone else in some way, no matter
who you are or what your background. We all share the same challenges.
The secondary principle is that both giving and getting advice are equally helpful in their own ways. To use
this service, users are asked to do both equally. To ask advice you must spend 1 credit, and to earn a credit you must
give advice back to another user. This helps ensure that everyone will be able to get advice and also
has theraputic value for the person giving advice. When you ask for advice YOU create the question, but when you give advice
you never know what question you are going to get!
Users who especially enjoy giving advice are encouraged to sign up for Power Mortals! notifications in order to be
notified by email whenever someone is asking for advice! This allows you to be a part of the extended network
and an important contributor to the MortalGuidance Project!
The MortalGuidance Project is comprised of two seperate websites that
share a similar goal: bringing people together to share advice and opinion.
http://advice.mortalguidance.com: the place for Live Advice.
http://debate.mortalguidance.com: the home of Live Debate.
